George Tawlon Manneh Oppong Ousman Weah in full flow in the 1995-96 season, scoring what turned out to be the winner in the 14th minute of a game vs Juventus at San Siro that ended 2-1.
He played a delicious one-two with strike partner Marco Simone (remember when strike partnerships were a good idea?) and scored past Angelo Peruzzi. Del Piero pulled a goal back, but Milan held on for the win.
Here are the highlights.
Milan’s defence that day included three players who could make good claims for inclusion in a “greatest ever” team: Paolo Maldini, Franco Baresi, Marcel Desailly.
But even that lot couldn’t keep a clean sheet against Juve’s vintage all-Italian forward line of Ravanelli, Vialli and Del Piero.
